Quality Assurance, Standards & Accreditation

The quality systems, welfare oversight and regulatory compliance that make CLARF’s data trustworthy — and acceptable to regulators worldwide.

This division is the backbone of everything CLARF produces. It governs how studies are planned, conducted, recorded and reported under Good Laboratory Practice principles — with controlled SOPs, training records and complete audit trails so every figure traces back to its raw data.

Animal welfare is non-negotiable: an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee reviews every protocol against the 3Rs before work begins. In Uganda, oversight starts institutionally through ethics committees and IACUCs, then nationally through UNCST in collaboration with UNHRO — a framework CLARF is built to satisfy, while pursuing international accreditation pathways such as AAALAC International and ISO/IEC 17025.
