Sustainability, Partnerships & Capacity-Building

How CLARF sustains itself, builds the next generation of scientists, and partners locally and globally to advance African biomedical innovation.

A national research facility must be financially, operationally, and environmentally resilient. This division runs CLARF’s fee-for-service contract research, animal supply, and training- the activities that generate revenue and keep the mission running — while building a pipeline of ‘industrial scientists’ who can take discovery through to application.

It also forges the partnerships that multiply CLARF’s impact: collaborations with universities and bodies such as the Uganda Cancer Institute, regional and international networks, and the funders whose support translates into infrastructure, training, and national biosecurity.
